Two Excellent Books

I just read two excellent books. They are both Juvenile Fiction, and both are a fast read:

1. Fever 1793 by Laurie Halse Anderson - In 1793 Philadelphia, sixteen-year-old Matilda Cook, separated from her sick mother, learns about perseverance and self-reliance when she is forced to cope with the horrors of a yellow fever epidemic.

2. Yellow Star by Jennifer Roy - From 1939, when Sylvia is four and a half years old, to 1945 when she has just turned ten, a Jewish girl and her family struggle to survive in Poland's Lodz ghetto during the Nazi occupation.

Diane, thanks for the new book ideas. I just finshed the fourth Big Stone Gap book and enjoyed them thoroughly.
Can't wait for the movie to come out.
