Leavenworth May 2008

We started our trip with a stop at The Maltby Cafe for a yummy breakfast and then were off to Leavenworth. It rained most of the way, but as we came over Steven's Pass the clouds parted and the rain stopped.

Here we are at the town square in lovely Leavenworth. The sun was even shining.

Valerie, Karen, Trish, Marsha

Carolyn, Tamara, Gloria, Diane

Carolyn and Gloria made a yummy Morrocan stew and lemon blueberry cake for dessert.

For Thursday's breakfast Diane and Marsha made omelets, cinnamon rolls and fruit.

Thursday's dinner was provided by Trish and Tamara. They made chicken salad croissant sandwiches, green salad and cheesecake for dessert.

The chefs for our last meal were Valerie and Karen. We had a strata with ham and fresh asparagus, along with fresh fruit. Don't they look cute in their matching pink shirts?
The photos will help us remember what we ate. Diane doesn't need the photos.....she remembers everything we've ever eaten.
Our last stop before leaving town was lunch at King Fisher restaurant at Sleeping Lady Conference Center on Icicle Road. Everyone was a good sport about trying something different. My regret was that the food wasn't as good as I had been led to believe. Good thing it wasn't our last meal!!!
It was a great three days with lots of laughs, good food, fun games, but most importantly memories made with wonderful friends. You are all incredible women.
Love, Marsha
